Nutters may seem like a strange moniker for a restaurant located in a grand 18th-century manor house but is actually named after celebrity chef and proprietor Andrew Nutter. There is a gothic charm to this restaurant with its wood panelling although there are contemporary touches to the final finish. The signature crispy Bury black pudding wontons with a confetti of vegetables could serve as an introduction to Nutters innovative modern British cuisine, perhaps followed by the intriguing 'cauliflower cheese' salmon fillet with parmentier potatoes and a pea and sherry vinaigrette. The desserts are equally impressive and could include warm treacle tart served with baby Baileys profiteroles and a rum and raisin ice cream. There are over 200 wines to choose from to suit every taste and pocket.
