There are no excessive frills to distract from the food at Nobu, just clean lines, comfortable black leather banquettes and blond wood tables. The restaurant continues to produce the same Japanese style food with South American influences it has done since it was opened in 1997 by chef Nobu Matsuhisa and his celebrity partners that include Robert De Niro. You could begin with Wagyu tartare with caviar or perhaps lobster ceviche. Main courses include the signature black cod with miso or anti-cucho Peruvian style spicy tea smoked lamb. A chocolate bento box (flourless chocolate fondant served with green tea ice cream) beckons for dessert. There is also a varied wine list available more than capable of matching the bold flavours of the food.
