Country house elegance is the order of the day at Newick Park. Comfortable sofas and soft green walls in the bar encourage guest to relax and perhaps indulge in a glass of champagne before dinner. The dining room provides stunning views of the lake and surrounding parkland. The same parkland provides much of the game used on their menus such as the rabbit terrine with haricots vert and pistachios to start. Many of the vegetables such as the spring cabbage and carrots that accompany a succulent roast fillet of beef with red wine sauce and potato dauphinoise have been grown in the hotel’s kitchen garden. Desserts such as spiced pineapple with basil soup and coconut ice cream are also presented with panache.
