This venue is at once a traditional Welsh country pub and smart, well regarded restaurant. Renowned for blending local ingredients with Mediterranean cooking styles, the kitchen serves seasonal dishes such as Pant Ysgawn goat's cheese and olive filo parcel, followed by Madgett’s farm chicken breast stuffed with an apple and tarragon forcemeat, wrapped in prosciutto served with linguine foresters. The a la carte is served alongside a seafood laden daily specials menu in both the pub and oak beamed mill room, which houses the original cider press at its centre. Servings are generous and kids can choose half portions of most dishes. There is extensive wine cellar and a large range of Welsh ales, stouts and locally brewed ciders on draught.
