British, and when possible local produce is given a European twist in this contemporary restaurant with stripped floors, white washed walls and simple wooden furniture. Since opening in 2007, owners Yasmina Siadatan (a former contestant on the Apprentice TV show) and brother Matthew have hauled in the awards and accolades and have been included in a list of the 100 best restaurants in the UK. Dishes such as Pan fried Cornish red mullet, crayfish, celeriac purée, Mapledurham apple salad, quince jelly and Loin of Watlington pork wrapped in air dried Cumbrian ham, baked apple, cabbage, peas, honey parsnips and cider jus and a great value set daily menu help make Mya Lacarte a very attractive proposition, despite the groan-inducing word play of its name.
