Angela Harnett MBE opened Murano in Mayfair in August 2008 and reflecting her ancestry, there’s a strong Italian influence to the cuisine. The dining room is light and airy with a stylish, decor which boasts hand painted fresco panels, traditional blown glasswork light fittings from Murano near Venice and specially commissioned sculpted chandeliers.
Indulge in the chef’s tasting menu from where better but the chef’s table with views of where the magic happens and enjoy chickpea and salt cod fricassée, Milanese risotto, bresaola and fillet of veal before a trio of desserts formaggio, gelato and noce, a warm walnut cake. The great value set menu might include tagliatelle with Lugano sausage, radicchio, hazelnut, and tomato fondue.
