L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon

Covering three floors, the layout of legendary French chef Joel Robuchon's L’Atelier is a somewhat topsy-turvy affair. The top floor is occupied by the elegant bar and terrace where guests can sample an array of innovative cocktails. On the ground floor diners sit around a Japanese inspired rosewood counter and watch French tapas style dishes being prepared in front of them. Sandwiched in between is the more traditional restaurant dressed in classy black and white. A starter could be langoustine fritters with basil pistou. A free range quail could be decadently stuffed with rich foie gras and served with earthy truffled potatoes for a main course. Dessert could be a fluffy Cointreau soufflé served with milk chocolate ice cream. There is an excellent predominantly French wine list available.
