La Trompette

La Trompette is part of the acclaimed stable of Nigel Platts-Martin and Bruce Poole owned restaurants that also includes Chez Bruce and The Glasshouse. The dining room is inviting and stylish with chocolate leather banquette seating, wooden flooring and displays of beautiful fresh flowers. The atmosphere is vibrant yet relaxed due to the calming influence of the highly polished service. This is very much a neighbourhood restaurants but the food is worth travelling for. Talented chef Anthony Boyd has been with the group for many years and his robust style is evident in dishes such as foie gras, ham and artichoke terrine with Bramley apple sauce or black bream with Nicoise crushed potatoes and clam vinaigrette. The wine list is notable for its scope and value.
