La Frégate Hotel boasts an enviable location overlooking St Peter Port harbour with views out to the Channel Islands of Hern, Sark, Alderney and Jersey. While the hotel is set in an 18th Century manor house, the restaurant is contemporary and chic and is blessed with a flood of natural light and attractive sea views. The decor is simple and stylish with bare boards and large picture windows, modern artwork adorns the walls. With its proximity to the sea, seafood dominated the French inspired menu – start with the Seared Scallops served with a Mango Salsa, Lobster, Pickled Cucumber and Champagne Cream, follow with Lemon Sole Fillets, Rosti Potatoes, Pea Puree and a Shellfish Vinagrette and if you’ve room finish off with a selection of Guernsey, British and French Cheeses.
