The high ceiling and pillars of the Orangery at Rockliffe Hall lend the formal hotel restaurant an ecclesiastical feel. With views over the gardens and the surrounding countryside guests can select choose to dine from one of the enticing tasting menus, including the seven-course “Prestige” tasting menu. Chef Kenny Atkinson - familiar from his many appearances on British food TV programmes -and his team deliver beautifully presented dishes such as Wild Turbot, with creel caught langoustine, pea & courgette flower, and Goosnargh Duck with duck liver, granny smith apple, celeriac & walnuts. The artistry continues with the desserts, including Dark Chocolate and Strawberries; Michel Cluizel dark chocolate terrine, Gariguette strawberries & candied rose petals. Separate vegetarian tasting menus are provided as well.
