This popular family-run New Town restaurant that has been serving Indian vegetarian food for over 25 years. The décor is exquisite with ornate mosaics adorning the walls. Despite its heritage and success, Kalpa is not sitting on its laurels and after a reopening has recently introduced new dishes which reflects contemporary Indian cooking from Punjabi, Gujarati and Southern India. Famed for its good value lunch buffet, Kalpna also offers an excellent range of evening meals including the house speciality dum aloo Kashmiri - a curried potato dish cooked under pressure in its own juices - and a number of tails. Vegetarians and non-vegies alike are wowed by the delicate flavour combinations and the exciting menu created using the freshest, seasonal ingredients – sourced locally where possible.
