A rotund modern glass building has become the home of Jamie’s Italian in Guildford. While you wait for your food perhaps sipping a classic Bellini you can watch your dinner being prepared in the open kitchen. The menu offers classic Italian food with a Jamie twist. You could nibble on some Italian nachos which are crispy, fried four cheese ravioli with “angry” arrabiata sauce. For a main you could opt for a grilled sirloin steak perhaps with a side of polenta chips seasoned with rosemary and parmesan. For dessert you could have three scoops of ice cream (the flavours change regularly) perhaps with smashed honeycomb and seasonal fruits. There is a fair choice of Italian wines which can be purchased by the glass, carafe or bottle.
