The Old Custom House offers guests the opportunity to dine downstairs at wooden tables and chairs in laid back bistro style, upstairs in the smart, panelled dining room or al fresco in the private courtyard when the weather permits. Wherever you choose to dine the food will be of an exceptional quality. A comforting split pea soup is enhanced with skate knobs, black pudding, parsley and lemon. A pan fried brill fillet on a salt cod colcannon with braised spring onions and mustard sauce could appear next rounded off with a pear tatin and five spice ice cream. For those who want to experience a mixture of flavours from Devon there is a tasting menu which comes with wine recommendations for each of the six courses.
