The hilltop location of this honey coloured Cotswold stone building affords fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. The large garden provides an attractive place to perhaps enjoy a pint of locally brewed ale such as Goffs Jouster on a summers evening. The pub itself has been refurbished but the character of the Grade 2 listed building has been preserved. The modern British menu could offer barrel-aged feta and roasted beetroot with pomegranate and mint dressing to start followed by a delicate Cornish lemon sole stuffed with spinach mousse served with a chive butter sauce. A homely steamed lemon curd sponge pudding with jersey cream could provide dessert. The concise wine list provides a good variety of wines from around the world.
