Holdsworth House Hotel & Restaurant is Halifax's first four star hotel and is a magnificent 17th century Jacobean manor house. Oak panelling, huge open fireplaces and leather armchairs set the tone of this traditional country house hotel. The 2AA Rosette restaurant is relaxed and inviting and offers contemporary British cuisine produced by head chef Simon Allott. The restaurant runs with the philosophy of sourcing the freshest of local produce to create menus which change with the seasons. The restaurant has a well chosen wine list offering an extensive choice from the old and new world.

Review of Holdsworth House

Posted on by E HoweType of travel: Family

We went to Holdsworth House for an afternoon tea get together with parents and children. We sat in the lovely restaurant and had a glass of pink sparkling wine with a raspberry in it. The hotel had lots of beautiful vintage crockery set out on the table and a large platter of sandwiches and cake stand brimming with cakes appeared. The best bits were the mini chocolate fudge cake things that literally melted in my mouth. The staff were really nice and got the children some pop to drink while we had tea and coffee. The atmosphere of this place was idyllic, really nice and warm and pretty. We'll be going back again I'm sure!
