Hallidays - housed in three thatched cottages that date back to 13th century, the 28 seat restaurant offers fine dining in an intimate atmosphere. Chef proprietor Andy Stephenson is dedicated to locally sourced ingredients from coastal fishermen, market gardeners and local farmers and has committed himself to learning new skills such as collecting wild produce, home smoking and cooking with a wood fired oven. Dishes such as home smoked salmon, potato pancake and cucumber pickle; roast local partridge, game chips, bread sauce and whisky gravy or roast saddle of rabbit, artichoke puree, Puy lentils and bacon reflect the refined classical English cooking. The extensive wine list covers both new and old world. new for 2011, 1 bedroom self catering apartment.
