Chinese cuisine has never tasted so good as at Hakkasan where the vibe is sultry and sexy. Locate the discrete entrance just off Oxford Street, descend the incense infused steps into a basement bar so dimly lit you feel it could be the VIP area of a nightclub. As your eyes adjust to the light, note the dark wooden screens and latticing, and panels with traditionally drawn black and gold designs created by Christian Liaigre. The result is a fashionably serene ambience. Worthy of the hype, indulge in the legendary dim sum platter or the delicacy that is roasted silver cod with champagne and Chinese honey and the famed grilled Wagyu beef with enoki mushrooms and soya.
