A stylish modern British restaurant that has recently won the 2012 Best North West Restaurant Award. With only eleven tables it provides an ideal location for an intimate and decadent dinner. Upstairs there is a seductive lounge area with comfortable sofas to embrace you before or after your dinner while you enjoy an aperitif or digestive. There is a weighty wine list with offerings from around the world to match the globetrotting weekly changing menu and the restaurant also hosts a monthly food and wine tasting evening. Your starter could be pan fried scallops with lemongrass mash and lentil dhal followed by rabbit fricassee with a creamy grain mustard sauce, wilted spinach and garlic Jersey Royals. Desserts strike a traditional note but could include a poached pear served with toasted ginger loaf and toffee sauce.

The ‘early decadence menu’ includes delights such as wild mushroom risotto with poached duck egg or Salmon and beetroot escabeche. Boasting a Michelin trained chef, you know you’re in safe hands. With only eleven tables, your dining experience is intimate and friendly but you must remember to book."

Excellent evening. I went for my daughters 21st party. They decorated the table to a high standard, food and drink was excellent. Free glass of champagne was the business.
