Greenhead House is something of a culinary institution where husband and wife team, Neil and Anne Allen, have been tickling discerning tastebuds for over 20 years. This beautiful 17th Century cottage provides an intimate backdrop to fine dining. On arrival you are directed to a small lounge area for pre-dinner drinks and amuse-bouche as you peruse the menu in front of the open fire. The dining room seats just 30 people, while the large walled garden provides the perfect spot for after dinner drinks or coffee. Start with the home cured dried duck breast served with salad topped with toasted macadamia nuts and raspberry vinegar, follow with red mullet with sautéed scallops before finding room for the strawberry tart with bakewell pudding ice cream.

Review of Greenhead House
Posted on by GAIL BETTSType of travel: Couples
A charming, cosy restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. Welcoming, attentive yet discrete staff. Top notch food. Never any problems catering for my vegetarian diet. A very pleasant evening is had, every time we visit. Our favourite restaurant!
