This seafood restaurant is clearly inspired by the sunny Mediterranean, evident in the terracotta floor tiles and aquatic artwork (although kitsch is avoided by the use of warm neutral tones on the walls and contemporary tables and chairs). However, the menu is not afraid to swim further a field in order to spice up its menu. A signature fish soup starter is packed with crab and prawn dumplings and delicately flavoured with ginger. Mussel, tiger prawn, fennel and spiced coconut stew could follow or perhaps for those wanting something a little less exotic lemon sole pan-fried in browned lemon butter. There are also meat and vegetarian alternatives available as well. An Italian inspired white chocolate pannacotta served with stewed rhubarb for dessert brings us safely back to European shores.
