Eat well and feel socially responsible while you do it at Cornwall Fifteen, part of a social enterprise founded by Jamie Oliver to help train young people to become chefs. Like it’s sister restaurant in London, Fifteen Cornwall takes on young apprentices, who learn their trade alongside professional chefs in the open kitchen. The busy dining room is testament to their abilities with a mainly Italian menu that showcases Cornish food producers. Start the day with bruschetta of borlotti beans, flat mushrooms and poached duck egg for breakfast, before moving onto a lunch of pollock 'saltimbocca'. A tasting menu is offered in the evening ranging from squash and buffalo ricotta tortellini to scallops with Jerusalem artichokes. Sea views, swirly murals and groovy 60s-style chairs make for a relaxed dining atmosphere.
