Bath’s only vegetarian restaurant is less about moral zeal and more about great tasting, additive free dishes using predominantly local, fair trade and organic produce. It’s a lively place with original panelled walls, colourful modern art, armfuls of fresh flowers and large sash windows with views over Bath Abbey. An innovative, globally inspired menu changes regularly, but expect to find the likes of coconut and lentil kebba with date puree, coriander and salad followed by beetroot arancini risotto balls stuffed with Somerset brie, served with apple jelly, yellow beetroot, pickled fennel and rocket on a pink grapefruit and mint dressing. The individual style of flavours, colours and textures, as well as the comprehensive list of organic beers, wines and ciders should keep more than the social conscious returning.
