Chef/proprietor Logan Thorburn takes pride in the fact that all the fish used in his restaurant is of the highest quality and has Marine Stewardship Council approval. So confident is he in the class of his ingredients that many of them are simply prepared to allow their delicious perfection to shine through. So local brown crab claws are merely steamed or Eyemouth hake fillet is simply grilled. Alternatives to fish based dishes could include roasted pepper bruschetta with marinated goat's cheese to start or a main of roasted Scottish chicken breast with a vegetable, Toulouse sausage and bean cassoulet. Dessert could include roasted plums with fruity malt loaf and mascarpone cream. There is also a reasonable selection of wines from the old world as well as the new.
