Reminiscent of a beach hut in some tropical isle, this restaurant offers fantastic views over the Portland coast and great food to boot. On sunny days large pink, tasselled parasols provide diners sitting on blue benches with shade. The oysters come from their own farm just outside the restaurant and can be served au natural, with pesto and parmesan or bacon and cream. The fishy menu is dependent on what is landed that day. Main dishes could include skate wing with chorizo, paprika and spring onions or sand sole with caraway seeds and saffron yogurt. Desserts range from a traditional Dorset apple cake to a sophisticated strawberry and champagne syllabub with a rosemary infused coulis. Several wines are available by the glass and carafe.
