The essence of Thailand is delivered at Chaophraya with its bustling bar downstairs and a smart and more tranquil restaurant upstairs. Delicious aromas escape from the open kitchen bringing back memories of street food consumed on Bangkok’s Khao San Road. There is an extensive choice on the menu including some of the more renowned dishes such as charcoal grilled chicken satay served with peanut sauce or Thai green curry with king prawns. If you yearn for something different perhaps try grilled rack of lamb marinated in lemongrass and served with a spicy papaya salad or the house speciality of sea bass and cashew nut served with Penang and tamarind sauces. Whatever you order it will be accompanied by an intricate vegetable sculpture and friendly Thai service.
