Downstairs in one of Bath’s famous Palladian style town house hotels, you’ll find the Cavendish restaurant. Deep carpets, antique furnishings and soft cream walls set the discreet and elegant tone of the restaurant. An extensive list of world wines accompanies a menu which continues the classic approach. French techniques and British produce are combined to create dishes such as pan fried Orkney scallops with spiced parsnip puree, macerated golden raisins, crispy Speck and Granny Smith, or Gressingham duck breast, confit leg croquette, celeriac puree, fondant potato, glazed turnips, romanesco, orange and tarragon. Timeless desserts with innovative twists such as stewed apricot and pistachio Eton mess with freeze dried pineapple conclude. If the weather allows, dine in the attached patio English country style garden.
