Cassons offers fine dining in elegant surroundings a short distance from the centre of Chichester, making it very convenient for Goodwood racing or Chichester Theatre. Viv and Cass Casson run the business with Cass managing front of house and Viv in the kitchen. Viv Casson believes in using the very freshest and best of local ingredients. Local fish and shellfish feature on the menu, as do locally sourced meat, game and vegetables. Her dishes have a classic nature, with clear French overtones, such as wild bass on a bed of melted fennel, new potatoes, crab and chive beurre blanc. The service run by Cass is smooth and efficient. There is a comprehensive wine list with a good selection of Champagnes and dessert wines.
