A little corner of Paris, hidden down one of Thistle Street’s cobbled back lanes. Wooden bistro chairs and tables are tightly packed creating an authentic Parisian bistro atmosphere where you can pop in for light bites and home-made soups, or well executed old classics such as beef Bourguignon and crème brulee. Here Gaelic meets Gallic and the menu changes daily and reflects the availability of fresh, locally sourced Scottish produce prepared with a French flair that shines through in the signature dish, Borders roe deer with braised salsify, roast shallots, kale and thyme jus. There is a carefully constructed wine list featuring many established names and enough fairly priced options to intrigue and excite wine enthusiasts.
