Blakes Restaurant is located in the Hard Day’s Night Hotel in the centre of Liverpool. The restaurant itself is light and airy with white walls, wooden floorboards and simple, uncovered dark wood tables giving a slick contemporary look to the dining area. Taking its name from Sir Peter Blake, designer of the iconic Beatle’s “Sergeant Pepper” album, the walls are decorated with a collection of photographs of the Fab Four and other celebrities who featured on the cover. The kitchen prides itself on sourcing organic seasonal food for the modern British menu that includes dishes such as roasted loin of cod with white bean and chorizo broth, braised gem lettuce and crisp pancetta. An extensive wine list provides a good choice of old and new world offerings.
