Tucked away in a beautiful Victorian building on a side street between Piccadilly and Regents Street, they've been serving top quality seafood here since 1916. A former head chef in the 90's, Richard Corrigan reinvigorated the landmark restaurant when he become its owner in 2005. If you're lucky, the ebullient Mr Corrigan might personally shuck you half a dozen oysters in the elegant ground floor bar, one of the most atmospheric places in central London for a casual meal. The upstairs Grill restaurant is an even more sophisticated affair, although never stuffy. The signature stuffed baby squid with chorizo and organic feta starter is a must order and the Royal Fish Pie with lobster, scallop, haddock and tiger prawn is a luxurious treat.
