Part of a select nationwide group of glamorous, eccentrically designed boutique hotels, Malmaison Aberdeen offers reasonably priced, modern European cooking close to the city centre. The seasonally changing menu in the buzzy 100 seat brasserie might include hot bone marrow and parsley salad with gremolata dressing, or slow cooked ox cheeks, smoked bacon, shallots horseradish pomme purée and madeira jus. The Home Grown and Local set lunch and dinner menu highlights produce from local suppliers with dishes such as local vegetable, potato and arran truckle cheddar gratin. Dine at the chefs table with up to seven mates for a full view of all the kitchen action, and for those who like a wee dram after dinner, a visit to the Whiskey Snug is a must.
