Andy Waters might be a local lad (born in nearby Bromsgrove), but a Michelin starred CV that includes stints with legendary French chef Paul Bocuse and as head chef at the original Simpsons in Kenilworth shows that his culinary horizons stretch much further. At upmarket, contemporary Cielo, he tackles Italian and Mediterranean cooking, giving it that all important modern twist. Simple classics such as king prawns sautéed with white wine, garlic and parsley appear on the extensive menu alongside more original creations such as pan fried swordfish with stewed cherry tomatoes, grilled aubergine and caviar cream sauce. Brunello and Barolo make an appearance on the heavily Italian accented wine list, but there's plenty of Old and New World choice too.
