This cosy restaurant crams in a lot of style, from the Art Nouveau-style leaded windows to the comfy banquette seating and linen covered tables. Scottish seafood is the thing to order here (although there are always a couple of choices to keep non-fish eaters happy such as Estate of Mey fillet of beef with a haggis crostini and whisky jus). Start with Cullen Skink (a traditional Scottish smoked haddock and potato soup) followed by steamed Loch Etive mussels with white wine and garlic cream. Although the seafood might be regional, the cooking style ranges much further abroad. A whole oven roasted red snapper is given a Mediterranean accent with sweet peppers, feta and paprika while collops of monkfish are served with a tomato and coriander crust and Thai coconut noodle broth.
