With its smoky cream walls crowded with wine related art, simple wooden tables and wood flooring, Bistro du Vin offers modern European cooking in classic Parisian bistro-style surroundings close to Poole harbour. Order smoked salmon or blast-from-the-past whole pan fried trout almandine from the 'Simple Classics' menu, or try that delicious but under used fish grey mullet pan fried and served with creamed pearl barley and tomato dressing from the regularly changing main a la carte. The wine list is as wide ranging and carefully chosen as you would expect given the name of the restaurant with many selections available by the glass, and there's always expert help on hand to guide you through it. Finish your evening by sinking into a burgundy velvet sofa with an after-dinner digestif in the lounge.
