The Chef's Table
Husband and wife team Michael and Sarah Bedford moved from the nearby Trouble House to open this Bistro and deli in summer 2007. Michael Bedford has worked with some of the top chefs in the country including Pierre Koffmann and Gary Rhodes. He now puts that classical training to good use preparing a daily changing blackboard menu in the first floor bistro’s open kitchen. An eclectic range of dishes might include Salcombe crab thermidor; truffle and parmesan souffle or homemade pork faggots with parsnip puree. Gourmets will want to pay the ground floor deli a visit to check out the range of fresh fish from Cornwall, artisan cheese and home made baked goods.
