This smart restaurant and wine bar is the latest addition to Northern star chef Paul Heathcote’s group of accessible establishments. The stylish dining room features cream leather chairs and booths and polished wood tables. There’s plently to choose from on the long tabard menu that kicks of with a selection of soups starters and salads that includes Seafood bouillabaisse, rouille and croutons and crab, apple, celery, walnut and baby gem lettuce salad. Go for a simply char grilled rump steak with hand cut chips and marmite butter from the grills and meats section or indulge in lobster Thermidor and chips from the selection of fish and seafood. Smaller appetites will appreciate the list of small plates that includes Seared tuna with tuna carpaccio.
