Castle Terrace Restaurant

Castle Terrace is the second acclaimed venture from chef Tom Kitchin of The Kitchin in Leith fame so it's no surprise to find fine French cooking techniques married with excellent Scottish seasonal ingredients. The special ‘celebration of the season’ menu might offer dishes like hand seared Orkney scallops served in the shell with Jerusalem artichoke, chestnuts and apple or roasted woodcock from Mellerstain estate served with purple sprouting broccoli and salsify. All the dishes are superbly executed. The décor is bright, modern and understatedly elegant and uses hand-printed designer wall paper in the main restaurant and private dining room.
