The River Café
On a sunny day, there is no better place to be in London than on the River Cafe's Thameside terrace. You could find yourself rubbing shoulders with film stars and assorted media folk, but a family enjoying lunch together are just as likely to be at the next table. Authentic regional Italian cuisine is what's on the menu that's re-written every lunch and dinner time. Begin with antipasti that might include Mozzarella di bufala with bruschetta of smashed broad beans, basil, mint & pecorino, followed by the signature Tuscan bread soup of Ribolita. A main course from the wood oven is a must - perhaps monkfish roasted with flowering savory and lemon. Every dessert lover should try the famous 'Chocolate Nemesis' at least once.
