Le Gavroche

Owned by the legendary Roux brothers, Le Gavroche has been one of London's finest classical French restaurants for over forty years. Now run by second generation Roux Michel Jnr, it still attracts celebrities, foodies and off duty chefs. With its comfortable green upholstered booths, the basement dining room has the feel of a posh gentleman’s club but with much better food. Classics like the ultra rich cheese Soufflé Suissesse cooked in double cream have been on the menu since day one. However, this not the restaurant that time forgot as red mullet with beef marrow toast and red wine and shallot sauce proves. Service is some of the best to be found in the city.
