The Ivy

Despite the behind the scenes changes of management a few years ago this theatre land stalwart continues to draw the stars of stage and screen in their droves. There's a touch of magic to the wood panelled dining room that seems to be bathed in golden light at lunchtime. There's something for everyone on the long eclectic menu. You can come for a simple lunch of shepherd's pie or classic Ivy hamburger or a romantic dinner for two of sautéed foie gras with caramelised apples and raisin jus followed by grilled lobster with sea shore vegetables, garlic butter and chips. The restaurant's many signature dishes include spicy bang bang chicken, smoked haddock and salmon kedgeree and corned Beef Hash with double fried egg.
