The Peat Inn

Many restaurants are named after their address, but few can be claim to have their address named after them. This delightful converted coaching inn is the exception as it stands at crossroads in the centre of the hamlet of Peat Inn. Made famous in the 1980’s by pioneering Scottish chef David Wilson, the restaurant was taken over and completely refurbished in 2006 by acclaimed chef Geoffrey Smeddle and his wife Katherine. The emphasis is firmly on fine dining and beautifully presented dishes created from seasonal Scottish produce. So your meal might begin with Anstruther lobster with salad of Jersey Royal potatoes and avocado and continue with Shetland salmon, marjoram gnocchi, asparagus and summer truffle dressing.
