The Kitchin

No, that’s not a spelling mistake; this popular casual fine dinning restaurant is named after its young chef and owner Tom Kitchin. With a surname like that, he was destined to work with the best French chefs including Alain Ducasse. Now he's brought his finely honed cooking skills back to his home town and is ransforming the finest Scottish produce into some of Edinburgh's most delicious dishes. Foie gras with haggis, neeps and tatties a la Kitchin brings a French twist to a Scottish classic with the mashed swede and potato replaced by strips of pickled swede and a crisp potato cake. Outstanding food, polished service from the team of smart, black-shirted waiters plus dockside al fresco dining in the summer make for an unbeatable combination.
