The Hind's Head

This lovingly preserved Tudor inn is owned by Heston Blumenthal and is just a few paces from his The Fat Duck restaurant in the centre of the idyllic Thameside village of Bray. But don't expect to eat the experiemental chef's outré creations here; the Hinds Head is all about traditional British dishes such as oxtail and kidney pudding cooked extremely well. Blumenthal has even revived some Tudor dishes such as quaking pudding (a baked egg and milk dessert) with the help of food historians at nearby Hampton Court. Snacks including Scotch quail egg and devils on horseback are available at lunchtimes in beautiful polished oak paneled bar.
