The Tean Restaurant

Sit in a smart rattan chair in the Teän Restaurant with views of the uninhabited island it’s named after and get a real taste of Scilly Isles. The chef here takes full advantage of the local seafood. You’ll need to order 12 hours ahead to feast on the must-have plateau de fruits de mer or local lobster. But there’s plenty of other options on the menu. Sustainable Scillonian Pollack is spiced and served with a salad of new potatoes and lemon-poached St Martin's lobster with a punchy mango, red onion and coriander salsa while Newlyn John Dory is pan-fried and accompanied by creamed lemon mash and braised Fowey mussels. Don't like fish? Then a honey-glazed breast of free-range Cornish duck with braised bok choy, open ravioli of beetroot, Cornish baby carrots and beetroot foam is for you.
