This converted canalside Granary in Leeds city centre is home to one of celebrity chef Paul Heathcote's small group of buzzy brasseries. The stylish contemporary interior is perfect for a business lunch, but you’ll get just as warm a welcome if you bring the kids for Sunday lunch. British ingredients are given pride of place in dishes such as black pudding and ham hock salad, boiled egg and chive hollandaise or a plate of English cured meats and homemade piccalilli. But there's plenty of global influences too. Roast cutlet and braised shoulder of new season lamb comes with French-style Lyonnaise potatoes while the Italian pasta dish of pappardella is given a British accent with Southport tomatoes, wild mushrooms and English Parmesan foam.
