This contemporary, stylish city centre venue is all about steaks, seafood and cocktails. Take a stool at the impressive 50 feet-long bar for some of the best concoctions in the city - maybe a passion fruit and lychee margarita - then settle into a cosy button backed booth for chef Kevin Lynn's simple and seasonal dishes. Steaks are farm assured English beef supplied by a local independent family butcher and daily specials feature seafood from Lancashire coast day boats. Start with the famous traditional Bury black pudding that's given a modern twist with pancetta, apple salad and a mustard emulsion, followed by confit duck leg with pickled red cabbage, new potatoes and anise jus, and there's good old Bakewell tart for dessert.
