The Mill Bank

London’s high-rise Millbank is a world away from its flagstoned pub namesake. Clinging on to the side of a hill, there’s moorland views from the rustic dining room. However, the menu is cosmopolitan, Yorkshire cosmopolitan that is, with brasserie influences by chef Glenn Futter who likes gutsy flavours like faggots and braised oxtail and root vegetables. Produce is locally sourced where possible but fish from Brixham is shipped in over the Pennines. The daily changing menu may offer roasted scallops or warm venison salad for starters, moving onto suckling pig with blood pudding or Holy island lobster ravioli with asparagus and Yorkshire cheeses. A chocolate fondant with peanut butter ice cream or lemongrass brulée may follow.
