A former chandlery in a working boatyard, the view from the dining room is of the marina and boats delivering fish to this quayside restaurant. The roomy leather and wood clad space, decked out with modern, bright paintings for extra dash is as classy as the menu. Brisk descriptions may include seafood chowder with smoked haddock, fish cakes with mushy peas or mushroom risotto with tarragon and earthy truffle oil to get you started. Chef Lester Kettley continues the mainly fish theme with local brill with olive oil mash and gremolata or loin of tuna with wasabi and sesame seed crust on Thai salad. Meat lovers are offered haunch of venison with spiced red cabbage.
