Malmaison Brasserie

Malmasion, the select nationwide group of eccentrically designed boutique hotels sentence you to enjoy reasonably priced, modern European cooking in this dramtically converted former prison. The seasonally changing menu might include the French classic of sautéed frog’s legs with garlic and lemon or the Spanish delicacy of acorn fed Iberico ham “jabu gran reserve”. Follow with sauteed veal fillet spring onion and bacon rosti and mushroom cream. Look out for the "Home Grown and Local" set lunch and dinner menu that highlights produce from local suppliers. The extensive list of wines and spirits (carefully compiled by Johnny Walker, the hotel group's appropriately named beverage manager) is a real delight.
