Le Talbooth
This half timbered country house hotel in the heart of the beautiful Vale of Dedham has been run by the Milsom family for well over 50 years. The beamed riverside restaurant is an elegant affair with high backed leather chairs and linen-clad tables. The menu is a mix of solid classics such as a smoked salmon starter of main of Dover sole to more adventurous dishes including salad of shrimp and sticky pork belly with boudin noir, and a Dijon mustard and apple dressing. A separate cheese menu highlights the best artisan produce from Britain and Ireland including the Swiss style St.Gall made with unpasteurised cows milk in County Cork. The riverside terrace with its beautiful floral displays is the perfect spot for a summer’s lunch.
